    We will be decommissioning this server over the weekend of 4-5 November 2023 due to outdated hardware and to improve account security. All accounts on this server will be moved across to a new server bravo.professionalbydesign.com.au. Clients should not experience any issues with the migration, however if there are issues with receiving new email after an account is migrated, ensure that your incoming and outgoing mail server is set to “mail.yourdomainname.com.au” and not “delta.professionalbydesign.com.au” in your email client. Restart your email account, device or router as well.

  • Scheduled Maintenance – Delta – 6th January 2015 – Complete

    We are migrating all accounts on delta.professionalbydesign.com.au to a new server called foxtrot.professionalbydesign.com.au today. This will cause minimal disruption to any accounts being moved, with downtime of less than 10 minutes, and with email clients needing to be restarted after the move.

  • Scheduled Maintenance – Alpha – 14th November 2014 – Complete

    November 14, 2014

    As notified to customers today, scheduled maintenance is due to be performed by our data center provider on our server Alpha for a period of up to one hour during the period from 10PM to 6AM AEDT. All web sites and email will be unavailable during the one hour period within this window. We will keep this page up to date with any status change.

    10PM – The server is now being migrated and all services are down whilst this takes place.

    11:30PM – The server is back online now.

  • Scheduled Maintenance – Alpha – 13th Nov 2014 – Complete

    November 13, 2014

    10:40PM – As notified to customers today, scheduled maintenance is being performed by our data center provider on our server Alpha for a period of up to one hour at the moment. All web sites and email are unavailable during this period. We will keep this page up to date with any status change.

    11:30PM – The server is now back online however there is an issue with the filesystem being mounted read only. We’re working with the data centre provider to resolve the issue and will provide an update here ASAP

    11:55PM – The server is fully back online now and all services are back to normal. We apologise for the extra maintenance window.

  • Emergency Maintenance – 29th March 2014 – 8pm to 9pm – DELTA – Complete

    We have received the following notification from our service provider for one of our servers (Delta):

    EMERGENCY REBOOT – THORIUM (Reported)

    Affecting System – | Priority – High

     We are currently experiencing CPU related issues on the Sydney VDS node, Thorium. As a result of this we will be applying updates to the server and performing a hard reboot.

    This maintenance is expected to result in approximately one hour of downtime.

    Start Time: 29/03/2014 17:00

    End Time: 29/03/2014 18:00

    Last Updated: 29/03/2014 17:06

    This will affect all accounts on the server from 8pm to approximately 9pm on 29th April 2014. We apologise for the short notice of this maintenance window.

  • Datacenter Scheduled Downtime – 1-2Hrs between 11PM-4AM AEST Thursday 14th November & Tues 19th November 2013 – Complete

    We have received notification from one of our data-centers of scheduled downtime as follows:

    SERVICE: Xen Linux 1024 – charlie.professionalbydesign.com.au

    WHEN: From 11:00PM to 4:00AM AEST (5hr Window) between Thurs 14th & Tues 19th November 2013

    EXPECTED DOWNTIME: This will vary depending on how much storage your service is using. We anticipate your service will be offline for approx 1-2hours, however it may vary less or more slightly.

    Please Note: Our service will only be impacted only once during the above dates. Due to the large number of customers scheduled for this maintenance period and the fluctuating times and man hours required the data-center cannot provide exact dates in advance.

    This will affect one of our servers (charlie) for a 1-2 hour period during the window identified above. All services on that server (email, websites etc) will be unavailable during that period. All services should resume as normal once the maintenance has been complete.

  • WordPress 3.5.2 Update

    June 22, 2013

    The WordPress team have released an important security update version 3.5.2. This update is recommended for immediate installation on all WordPress websites in order to patch security vulnerabilities. More information is available at http://wordpress.org/news/2013/06/wordpress-3-5-2/

    Guy Designs has made the installation of this update a priority, and has ensured that all WordPress sites hosted & maintained by Guy Designs have been updated to the new 3.5.2 version within 24 hours of the release of the update. Customers may have noticed a small window of downtime to their site (5 minutes or less) over the past few hours while these updates were installed.
